Founded in 1964, the YashPrabha Group set out to deliver innovative solutions to the Indian market, addressing critical challenges in protecting, controlling, and monitoring vital electrical assets. In 1973, the group expanded its horizons by introducing a comprehensive range of solutions in surface coating and material handling through Statfield. This milestone marked the beginning of turnkey solutions development, paving the way for the establishment of Intech Surface Coating.

Yashavant G. Ghaisas
Founder of YashPrabha Group, Mr. Yashavant G. Ghaisas is a pioneering entrepreneur with a vision for technological innovation. Holding dual degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, he founded the group in 1963 and played a key role in introducing India’s first Single Phasing Preventor under the Minilec brand. He also pioneered Powder Coating Technology in the 1970s. With several patents to his name, he has consistently focused on delivering cutting-edge, customer-centric solutions.
Smita Y. Ghaisas
Mrs. Smita Y. Ghaisas joined the YashPrabha Group in 1970, taking the helm of the Minilec Group of Companies. Under her leadership, Minilec expanded its product range and gained a strong reputation for quality in the industry. As the first woman CEO of an ISO 9001-2000 certified SSI in Maharashtra, she was honored with the ‘Best Engineer Entrepreneur Award 2002’ by the Institute of Engineers. Mrs. Ghaisas is also deeply involved in various industry organizations, serving as the Vice-President of Laghu Udyog Bharati, President of the Mulshi Taluka Industries Association, and ex-president of Karve Stree Shikshan Sanstha.
